A city council should serve by providing public safety, quality infrastructure, job opportunities, and affordable housing.
However, Chesapeake's city council often seems to serve special interests while dismissing our concerns.
Seeing our city council increase taxes, approve dangerous projects, and develop our land is hard.

A consequence of their choices are folks being priced out of their homes, trying to cope with health hazards, and struggling with overcrowding. In some parts of Chesapeake, families have needed sidewalks for 40 years. In other parts, new infrastructure can't keep up with growth.
My for us approach to governance will encourage your focus, oversight and responsiveness to city council's decisions.

The result will be a city council that better understands community needs, allowing for improved service.

I look forward to continuing the work of so many of us who have been sharing concerns and opposing ill-considered projects, only to be ignored. Together, we will reshape city council to reflect us: practical people who are conscientious, concerned, and careful.
